Give People The Benefit Of The Doubt

An interesting meditation today and I certainly think being more tolerant and patient with others and not immediately jumping to conclusions about them, has a big part to play in our daily lives and the way we feel in general.
I particularly like the last sentence of today's meditation and I quote; "Be deliberate and accommodating with your assumptions about other people and you'll find, as Marcus (Aurelius) says, calmer seas and fairer weather"
I can't really compare today's meditation to trading, as it is based on how we react to other people of course. However, if we have a more tolerant and patient mindset, in our day to day lives, it can make a difference to our trading performance. We will find it a lot easier to develop the correct trading mindset and therefore be more likely to consistently make the right decisions, due to our increased patience and tolerance levels. Trading can try our patience, just as other people can! These skills are as important in every day life, as they are when we are trading; making us much calmer and less frustrated too.
To "give people the benefit of the doubt" is something that we should all practice in this fast paced world that we live in. Give it a try; you may just feel better for it.
